CrownsÂ
Stainless Steel Crowns commonly referred to as SSCs are the standard of care when tooth decay becomes so large that there is not enough tooth structure to properly hold a filling in place. SSCs are used because they:
1) can easily stand up to the oral environment until the tooth is ready to fall out naturally
2) can be placed in the same visit with an excellent fit after tooth decay has been removed
3) are easy to clean
